Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus Ieucocephalus)
The circulatory system of eagles is made up of a heart and blood vessels that function at a very high rate. The circulatory system is responsible for transporting oxygen throughout the blood, clearing out waste materials, and regulating body temperature. Similar to humans, eagles have a four chambered heart with arteries carrying oxygenated blood away from the heart and veins returning deoxygenated blood back to the heart. As all vertebrae do, eagles have a closed circulatory system.
